Black Seed Oil Benefits and Usage for Hair and Scalp

Black Seed Oil Usage & Benefits: For Hair & Scalp

Black Seed Oil offers many benefits, and whilst various studies have been conducted over the years, we are still learning of new ways in which people are turning to this incredible natural remedy.

The use of Black Seed Oil for Hair and Scalp is of no exception…

In addition to taking Black Seed Oil orally as an addition to your everyday diet, it can also be applied externally to the hair and skin to help with things like Itchy & Dry Scalp, dull & dry hair, Psoriasis, Dry & Damaged Skin, and even Inflammation of the skin.

Applied topically, Black Seed Oil can help aid hair growth by strengthening of the hair follicles.

Based on much feedback from consumers, using Black Seed Oil topically will nourish and revitalise – resulting in stronger, healthier, and shinier looking hair. It is also soothing for the scalp.

Upon guidance from the many Hair Salons who use and/or are stocking our oils, it is recommended that you substitute your normal hair conditioner with black seed oil on every second wash.

Or simply mix it 50/50* with a mild hair conditioner and use as and when you would normally condition your hair.
*adjust the mix accordingly if your hair is fine or thick

To apply:

  • Gently massage into the hair & scalp. A little goes a long way.
  • Leave for a minimum of 5 minutes.
  • Rinse with warm, clean water.

Alternatively you can apply black seed oil to the hair & scalp and then leave it in for several hours before washing.
It’s of course an oil, so this may not be the most convenient – especially if you plan on going out for the day.

The benefits however are far more rewarding when left in for longer periods; with some customers even choosing to apply before bed and then leaving it in overnight.

If doing this however we would highly recommend using old bedding and/or wearing a shower cap, since the oil will stain any fabrics that it comes into contact with.

What we have learned from customer feedback over the years is that our oils are found to be hugely beneficial when it comes to treating Psoriasis, when applied topically and on a regular basis.

As with most ailments and natural remedies, it’s always trial and error with what works for you, and will usually vary from person to person.

Whilst most Hair Salons highly recommend our Super-Strength Oil for the Hair & Scalp, a strong oil like this can in some cases cause further irritation, particularly if the skin is severely dry or broken.

We therefore always recommend starting with our Original Black Seed Oil for topical application, before trying one of our stronger oils.

Topical application: Black Seed Oil for skin conditions such as Eczema

Typically speaking we recommend using our Original Oil for topical application; particularly if the skin is already badly damaged.
