As many of you will already be aware, we’ve been facing manufacturing delays with our Black Seed oil Capsules.
Keeping this short and to the point (more info below, if interested) — we aim to have a limited quantity of Super-Strength Capsule Refill Packs available to purchase by Friday 23rd May (possibly before, via Pre-order).
Given the small quantity that we’re going to have, these will be made available to purchase on a first come first served basis, and packs will be limited to a maximum of 3 per customer.
Here’s a break-down on our Capsule range and what we predict as an availability timeline going forward…
SUPER-STRENGTH REFILL PACKS
Limited quantity available to purchase from Fri 23rd May; with shipping date yet to be confirmed (will be sometime week commencing Mon 26th May).
PRE-ORDER LIKELY TO BE MADE AVAILABLE
Not yet confirmed, but we may open up pre-ordering before 23rd May, so as to give regular customers a better chance of securing some before they sell out. Keep an eye on your inbox for more details (or subscribe to emails if you haven’t already).
ORIGINAL & STRONG REFILL PACKS
Possibly June, but it’s more likely to be early July before these are made available again.
CAPSULE STARTER PACKS
We do have a limited quantity of these in stock and they will be made available again imminently. When they sell out, it’s likely to be June or early July before they become available again.
MAX PACKS
Realistically it’s likely to be July before these are made available again.
WHAT IS THE ISSUE & WHY IS THERE A LACK OF STOCK?
The manufacture of Vegan Capsules is a complex process and there are very few manufacturers offering this service.
Once our seeds arrive in the UK and we’ve extracted the oil from them, we then have to send our oil off to a specialist Capsule manufacturer for encapsulation.
The encapsulation process usually takes 6-14 weeks and then another 7-10 days to package the Capsules ready for sale.
Unfortunately on this occasion there was a manufacturing error which has led to all of our latest batches of capsules having to be destroyed and us having to start over again. Something that has never happened before and hopefully will never happen again.
Obviously this, for us as a business, is absolutely devastating. We understand that this has also left customers on the lurch.
Whilst it is extremely rare for something like this to happen, unfortunately it is beyond our control and we are doing all we can to get back on track ASAP.
EXPECTED TIMELINE & CONTINGENCY PLAN
Our seeds arrived in the UK two weeks ago, and oil extraction is already in full-swing. We will shortly be sending our oil off for encapsulation and we’re pushing to have our Capsules back and ready for sale in the shortest possible time.
In terms of contingency – given the sheer lack of Vegan capsule manufacturers – particularly here in the UK – this is a difficult one…
However, a European manufacturer has agreed to create a small batch of Super-Strength Capsules for us which will at least help to make some available in the meantime. Manufacturing is already underway and we should have a limited number of Super-Strength Refill Packs available to purchase from 23rd May.
Why aren’t we using the European manufacturer for all, you may ask…
Costs, mostly. Using the European manufacturer adds on near 75% to overall costs, which we would then need to pass on to our customers. All-in, we’d essentially need to double our retail prices to offset the additional costs. We don’t want to do this and we’re sure you don’t want to paying twice as much…
It also would not shave a great deal of time from the manufacturing process, and so it’s simply not worth further consideration.

We’ve been inundated with messages about Capsules over the last couple of weeks – some of which shall we say, are rather unpleasant…
Let’s be clear — we do not go out of our way to make 50% of our product range unavailable. It’s a situation that is rare, beyond our control, has a huge impact on us as a business, and we assure you that we are doing everything in our power to get back on track.
Whilst we cannot reply to every message that we’ve received in regards to Capsules individually – the majority have been answered above.
